Atwater Kent Model 944
This is an AC-powered cathedral style 4-tube radio made by Atwater Kent Radio
of Philadelphia, PA. The radio has a regenerative detector which will cause a loud howl
in the speaker if the feedback control located on the rear of the chassis is improperly
adjusted. The radio incorporated some rubber wires that had to be replaced to prevent
short circuits.
This example is in fine shape and is all original except for the replaced wiring and some
capacitors. The radio works well.
