Delco Model R1128
This is 1937 Delco AM and Shortwave rado. The radio receives standard broadcast AM and
shortwave from 6 to 18 MHz. The radio has the unique florescent tuning indicator (eye)
that indicates signal strength. Stronger signals are indicated by larger coverage
of the florescent light around the center of the indicator tube. The tuning
eye in this radio is dim but in a darkened room, it can be clearly seen.
One half of the high voltage winding in the power transformer was open when
I received the radio. I repaced the power transformer and the radio works
well now.
