1940's Motorola Model 50-X-1
This is 1940's Motorola Model 50-X-1 Standard Broadcast AM radio. This
radio is made by Galvin Corporation. The radio was received with no back and
I built back with loop antenna similar to the original. The volume control had
limited travel (only approximately 90 degrees of travel) and the volume was low.
I replaced the volume control and the volume is now acceptable. I had to replace
the capacitor on output of 12SQ7 to eliminate squeal when the volume was turned up. The
radio works well now.
