Antique Office Equipment
This page describes some antique office equipment I have.
Underwood No. 3 Manual Typewriter
The picture below is an antique manual typewriter manufactured by Underwood I have.

This typewriter belonged to my grandfather. The typewriter is an Underwood No. 3 with a 12 inch carriage. It is a manual typewriter similar to those seen in old photographs and movies of newspaper newsrooms or authors offices. This typewriter does work but some of the keys stick. The ribbon has dried of its ink, so you have the press the keys hard if you want to be able to see the print.
The serial number f the typewriter is 559979-12. Based on some limited research, I believe
the typewriter was manufactured in the last half of 1925.
Dalton Adding Machine
The picture below shows an antique adding machine I have.

This adding machine was given to my father by one of his clients. My father was an accountant and he used electric-powered adding machines for most of his work. Nomenclature on the front of this machine states this is a Dalton Adding, Listing, and Calculating Machine. This machine was manufactured by Dalton Adding Machine Company of Cincinnati, Ohio (East Norwood). This machine is hand-powered by the
crank on the right-hand side. This machine does work.
