FM Alignment Generator

This is a FM tuner alignment generator. I purchased this at a hamfest (amateur radio convention). This device is a FM signal generator covering 88 to 108 MHz with an output attenuator calibrated from 0.5 uV to 30 mV into 50 ohms.It modulates the FM signal with a composite stereo signal for aligning stereo decoders. One can modulate the signal with left or right signals only to measure separation using either internal or external signals. Mine has the option to select internal modulation as 1 kHz or 400 Hz. The 19-kHz pilot is adjustable to determine when the tuner switches to stereo. The generator also can generate an unmodulated 67-kHz SCA carrier for adjustment of the tuner SCA trap. The device has a peak reading modulation meter. The device has a CW function to measure receiver quieting (S/N ratio). There is also a FM monaural function for overall receiver distortion measurements.

The generator also has a dual sweep function for aligning the tuner FM discriminator.

Below are the specification for this device taken from the manual.
